This course will provide guidance as to how to eliminate barriers for individuals living with disabilities and needing accommodation. Through interactive discussions and live demonstrations we will provide instruction as to how to create an environment that is both inclusive and welcoming and ensures dignity and respect for all.
In this workshop we explore one’s personal presentation and how and why it matters. We will explore the impact of behavior and appearance recognizing that a person’s appearance and conduct are crucial when meeting with clients and customers. The importance of building a winning image and personal brand are necessary in both work and life.
Workplace bullying is on the rise. While statistics vary, some studies reveal that nearly half of all American workers have been affected by workplace bullying, either as a target or as a witness to abusive behavior against a co-worker. This Preventing Workplace Bullying training course, which is recommended for all employees, describes the various forms of workplace bullying, employee attrition and other issues. It addresses abusive bosses, client and vendors, as well as bullying between co-workers. It explains both how to avoid bullying and how to respond to it in others.
This course will teach employees and employers how to create and maintain a respectful and equitable work environment. By focusing on etiquette, cultural diversity sensitivity we teach through open and honest dialogue and interactive scenarios personal integrity and the importance of sensitivity to others.
Conflict will most certainly arise in any work environment. Our course teaches using tools that keep the relationship as a priority, promotes respectful communication and keeps people and problems separate. We emphasis skills listening skills and teach ways to identify the core of the conflict.
This course will increase the participant’s knowledge and awareness of people living with disabilities and dispel common myths. We work to overcome any negative attitudes or concerns about working with people with disabilities. Our team provides guidance as to how to encourage and acknowledges a client’s, employees, or employers disability in an appropriate and respectful manner. Some of our team members themselves live with disabilities and will share real life challenges they confront while in the workforce.
This course reviews the concept of hostile work environments, which are created when employees act inappropriately, including the use of sexual innuendo, unwanted sexual advances, the telling of inappropriate jokes, the posting of inappropriate material, etc.
Review and Drafting of Anti-Harassment Policy and Procedures
The purpose of an anti-harassment policy is to provide a framework to prevent harassment in the workplace, to communicate the rights and responsibilities of those involved in a harassment claim, and to alleviate effects in the event harassment does occur.
Workplace Harassment complaints cost governmental agencies, corporations, small businesses and nonprofits hundreds of millions of dollars of lost revenue and legal fees each year. We focus on federal, state and local laws and explain how to prevent workplace harassment.
This course takes a closer look at sexual harassment. It also discusses the problems with perception and tensions in the workplace, how to deal with persistent harassing behaviors as well as proper ways to report it.
Sensitivity Training is a type of group training that focuses on helping employees become more aware of their own prejudices and more sensitive to others as well as increase awareness of tolerance and sensitivity. Social sensitivity in one word is empathy. It is ability of an individual to sense what others feel and think from their own point of view. Behavioral flexibility is ability to behave suitably in light of understanding. It is essential to provide employees with sensitivity training to prevent discrimination and harassment.
We will explore and assess our behavior, personal biases, assumptions and stereotypes. Sensitivity training involves individuals sharing their emotions, personalities, and relationships with the goal of providing insight into their behavior and developing corrective emotional and behavioral actions.
We explore in this course the role of the team and its members. Guidance is provided as to how to improve communication, develop and enhance respect for differences and increase collaboration. Acknowledging that each team is different we work to identify the issues your team may be challenged by and target our training that the experience is a win- win for all.
